Hugh Hefner’s finally getting a divorce. After 11 years of separation, Hef filed papers on Friday to kick Kimberly Conrad to the curb. He’s asking the judge to set spousal support at $20K a month, justifying the amount by saying he’s already paid her close to $12 million since they’ve been separated. Why after 11 years did he finally pull the trigger? Hef’s upset that Kimberly filed a $5 million lawsuit against him because he sold the house he was letting her and their two sons live in.

FOX and Ellen DeGeneres have both announced that she will be replacing Paula Abdul as the fourth judge on “American Idol” when season 9 debuts in January. Ellen announced during her talk show’s taping yesterday and you can see it today. She said her talk show fans don’t have to worry because she’s not giving up her day job. Ellen doesn’t have any musical experience, but she says, “Hopefully I’m the people’s point of view because I’m just like you. I sit at home and I watch it … I’m not looking at it in a critical way from the producer’s mind. I’m looking at it as a person who is going to buy the music and is going to relate to that person. So I’m hopefully going to be that voice of what we’re all doing at home.” Ellen will be on throughout the entire season, joining the judges’ panel after the auditions, which feature guest judgesVictoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain.
